Trogir Riviera belongs to the most indented parts of the coast; small inlets with smaller and larger pebbles that are separated by rocky capes - great for suntanning and diving. We recommend the Ciovo peninsula to those looking for beautiful sandy beaches. In Gornji and Donji Okrug and Slatina, there are sandy and pebble beaches, while magnificent sandy beaches can be found in certain larger inlets. You can reach secluded bays and capes on the Ciovo peninsula on foot or by car. These bays and capes are surrounded by pine trees and usually consist of smooth rocks that lead right to the water. The beaches by the summer houses in Vinisce, Kalebova luka, Kanica and Razanj are rocky or concrete. The city of Trogir has a pebble public beach with a variety of additional entertainment facilities and many restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. The beach in the Medena tourist complex in Seget offers numerous water sports, diving and windsurfing courses as well as equipment rental.

T R O G I R

TROGIR - small town and harbor at the end of the Kastelanski bay, 27 kilometres from Split. It lies on the small island between the island of Ciovo and land (draw bridge). The beautiful beaches are located in the vicinity, especially around Seget and in the Saldun bay. In town of Trogir there is ACI MARINA which is very important for nautical turism in Croatia.

Trogir - two millennia of stormy history have been written on this small islet straddling the isthmus between the gentle hills and fertile plain on the mainland and the coast of the island Ciovo.

Its first pages were written long ago by the Illyrians, Greeks and Romans who built the town; it was continued in the 7th century by the Croats, who developed their autonomus municipality, whether under their own or foreign sovereigns (the Byzantine Empire, Hungary, Venice, France, Austria) into one of the most beaufiful towns on the Adriatic coast.

Trogir - this is treasury of art, or a "Town-Museum" as the famous Berenson put it. Ancient Kairos, Roman fragments and inscriptions, and rustic Early Croatien art will compete for our attention.

We shall stand enraptured before the Romanesque portal of master Radovan, and admire the Gothic and Reneissance masterpieces of Gojkovic, Alesi, Duknovic and Nikola Firentinac. We shall feel the coolness of the sturdy walls and bastions, the lush beauty of the cathedral, the mystique of the streets and vaults, the harmony of color and form of the paintings, miniatures and carving. In the quiet of the museums, treasuries, art collections and old libraries, amidst the monuments in stone, we shall follow the continuity of living and man`s creativity in this climate where the sun and sea, stone and nature, have merged with life.

C I O V O

Island CIOVO is connected to Trogir by bridge so it makes an entirety with a city. Surface of 28.8 km2. It was inhabited in prehistoric age and its ancient name Boa has Iliric roots. Today on Ciovo there places like: Slatine, Arbanija, Zedno and Okrug Gornji, Okrug Donji. On Ciovo aristocrats had their summer houses, and there has been preserved more than ten churces, the oldest preromanic Our Lady beside the sea. Since 15. century even Trogir expands to the island Ciovo. On that island there are many monuments, like dominican monastery St. Cross, monastery St. Anthony, church of St. Lazarus and St. Jacobs.

A R B A N I J A

A R B A N I J A is a small place on the peninsula Ciovo, that is 5 km distant from Trogira. You can come to Arbania by road that leads from the north of the island andn ends 2 km further east beside deserted stone-pit. Stone-pit and near beaches are very popular for the citizens of Split and Kastela. Just the place Arbanija is not big but only safe harbour in the north of the island. caffe bar, domestic restaurants, post office, food store and more it is enough for Your cosy holiday whether you have summer house or come for a vacation.
